About These Statistics
Difficulty
Primecoin difficulty measures the minimum length of a prime chain required for a valid block. A difficulty of 10.5 means miners must find a Cunningham chain of at least 10 primes, with the fractional part representing how close the 11th candidate was to being prime.
Chains Per Day
The expected number of valid prime chains discovered by the entire network per day. Each chain represents a genuine mathematical discovery — a sequence of prime numbers with a specific algebraic relationship, permanently recorded on the blockchain.
Transactions Per Day
Counts all transactions confirmed in blocks each calendar day (UTC), including the coinbase reward transaction. Data is collected from the XPM Prime Explorer node during block sync and stored in the database. The chart updates as new blocks are synced.
Average Fee
The mean fee paid per non-coinbase transaction each day, expressed in XPM. Fee computation requires txindex=1 to be enabled in the node's primecoin.conf so that input transactions can be looked up.
Mempool
Unconfirmed transactions waiting to be included in the next block. Primecoin transactions are typically confirmed within 1 minute (60-second block time).
Data Source
All live statistics are fetched directly from the XPM Prime Explorer's Primecoin full node via the secure RPC proxy. Historical charts use data accumulated in the database from block sync operations.
